(Davenport, IA) -- The Davenport Community School District is approving new boundaries.

The board made the decision after the district announced it was closing three elementary schools by the end of the school year.

The district will be busing all students who live more than a mile and a half from school, a half mile less than Iowa’s state-mandated requirement of two miles.

All but one board member voted yes to approving the boundaries.
