A New Wind Turbine Recycling Plant Is Going Up In Iowa

(Fairfax, IA) -- A new a wind turbine recycling plant is going up near Cedar Rapids.

Iowa has had piles of abandoned blades in a couple locations over the past few years.

They often end up in landfills.

Regen Fiber is building the new recycling plant in Fairfax where they will process the used wind turbine blades... into a finely shredded product that can be used as an additive to make concrete, asphalt, mortar, and other products stronger.

Regen Fiber is connected to Alliant Energy through one of its subsidiaries, Travero.
