2nd Degree Murder charges filed against man in death of 20 year old woman

(Omaha, NE) -- Charges are formally filed against a man accused in the November shooting death of a 20 year old Omaha woman.

During a preliminary hearing on Monday, 25 year old Imhotep Davis was ordered to be held without bond for the November 13th death of 20 year old Karly Wood. Wood, and seven other people including Davis, were injured when shooting erupted following a confrontation during a party near 33rd and Ames.

Davis is facing charges of second-degree murder, assault, use of a weapon to commit a felony, and possession of a gun by a prohibited person. Two other men, 28 year old Tyvel Lampkin-Davis and 25 year old Kiwan Dampeer, are also facing charges in the case. Lampkin-Davis is charged with unlawful possession of a gun on school grounds and accessory. Dampeer is charged with possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, unlawful discharge of firearm, unlawful possession of a gun on school grounds and use of a weapon to commit a felony.
