Former Nebraska State Patrol Employee Pleads Guilty to Drug Theft

(Lincoln, NE) -- A former Nebraska State Patrol evidence tech pleads guilty to the theft of drug evidence.

On Tuesday, Anna Idigima entered her plea and now faces 20-years to life in prison for conspiring to distribute cocaine laced with fentanyl. Prosecutors say Idigima took part in the theft of more than $1 million in drug evidence. Investigators in Lancaster County say they connected a series of overdoses to her and her boyfriend. Idigima's boyfriend, George Weaver Jr., is also charged in the case.

Idigima worked for Nebraska State Patrol for 14 years.
