Police ID Teen Killed In NW Cedar Rapids Shooting

(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- Police are releasing the name of a teen who died in a shooting in northwest Cedar Rapids shooting last weekend. Police say 16-year-old Michael McCune of Cedar Rapids was found in the 16-hundred block of F Avenue NW, outside an apartment complex late Saturday morning after multiple calls about shots fired.

Police say there were no other reported injuries and it appears McCune was targeted.

Sixteen-year-old Antwan Steward was charged with firing a gun recklessly at the same apartment complex that day. He has not been charged directly with McCune's death but is accused of damaging buildings and vehicles.
