(Sarpy County, NE) -- A woman charged in connection to a Fourth of July attack on two men in Sarpy County is sentenced to prison.

On Tuesday, 37 year old Brittany King was sentenced to 2-4 years each for one count of assault and one weapons charge. King, along with her boyfriend 40 year old Jeremy Brown and 18 year old son Maddix Foss, were accused of shooting roman candles at two strangers while they sat in the driveway of a home near 135th and Harrison, and then hitting and kicking the men. Police found no connection between the suspects and the victims. Investigators say King's two younger children were also there when the assault happened.

The two men suffered serious injuries in the assault. One man suffered broken ribs and burns, the other had a broken eye socket.
