Des Moines Man Charged In October Vehicular Homicide

(Des Moines, IA) -- A Des Moines man is in custody and charged in connection to a deadly motorcycle crash in October 2022.

According to police, 50-year-old Wesley Sullivan was heading north on 19th Street at a high-rate of speed when he collided with a car entering the intersection.

They say Sullivan was driving at least 60 miles per hour in a 35 zone at the time of the crash with a blood alcohol level above .08 percent.

He is charged with homicide by motor vehicle, serious injury by motor vehicle, and OWI.

He is being held in the Polk County jail.
