(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- The Eastern Iowa Airport is beginning its fourth and final phase of the terminal modernization project.

A groundbreaking took place yesterday (Mon) to mark the start of the remodeling effort and adding 32,000 square feet.

Phase Four should take between a year and a half to two years to finish, but the project is expected to set the airport up for the next 30 years.

The expansion and remodeling include more jet bridges, a bigger patio, a sensory room, and a pet relief area.
