Nebraska Broadband Office Advances Out Of Legislative Committee

(Lincoln, NE) -- Nebraska lawmakers are one step closer to creating a state office to oversee broadband expansion. This week the Legislature’s Transportation Committee advanced a bill establishing the Nebraska Broadband Office. Its goal, provide reliable broadband internet to every person in Nebraska by 2028. Governor Jim Pillen signed an executive order in January calling for the creation of the office. The idea will now be debated by the full legislature.
