Remains Of Iowan Killed At Pearl Harbor To Be Buried Saturday

(Monticello, IA) -- The remains of an eastern Iowan who died during the attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941, are coming back to Iowa. Seaman 1st Class Donald Stott, will be buried Oakwood Cemetery in Monticello March 25th. Stott enlisted in 1940 at the age of 17 with his father's permission. Stott served on the USS Oklahoma and was 19 when he died during the attack on Pearl Harbor, December 7, 1941. His remains were recently identified due to advances in DNA technology.
