(Davenport, IA) -- The city of Davenport is reviving abandoned and vacant homes with the "Extreme DREAM" program.

City Council approved the $2.1 million program yesterday with the goal of turning the properties back into single-family homes.

The money comes from the city's sale of the low-income senior living facility, "The Heritage," in 2021.

Applicants can get up to $100 thousand for rehabilitation costs and the purchase price of the property.
