(Lincoln, NE) -- Construction expanding a stretch of Interstate 80 near Lincoln will start in the spring.
The Nebraska Department of Transportation says about 13 miles of interstate between Lincoln and Pleasant Dale will be widened to adapt with motorist needs and growing populations.
This expansion will not only alleviate traffic congestion but also enhance safety for motorists, reducing the risk of accidents and improving travel times.
Construction is expected to be completed in 2026.
