The Salvation Army continues tornado recovery efforts in eastern Nebraska and Western Iowa.
A social services caseworker Friday again joins Salvation Army disaster-relief personnel at the Multi Agency Resource Center along 204th Street south of Rainwood Road in the Elkhorn area.
Financial assistance to storm-impacted families in the form of gift cards are again available, along with lunch.
Counseling will also again be available.
A Salvation Army canteen food truck will also be present with crews serving bottled water and snacks.
In Washington County, the Blair Disaster Assistance Center will again be open on the grounds of Skinny Bones Pumpkin Patch, 3935 Highway 133, from 8 a.m.-7 p.m. Friday.
Storm-impacted families and individuals can go to pick up free household goods and yard-clean-up supplies.
The Salvation Army will have two options this weekend for tornado -impacted Washington County residents to get free meals.
They can stop by the Blair Disaster Assistance Center Saturday and Sunday between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., or between 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. to pick up meals.
The Salvation Army also plans to send a disaster-relief team to Crescent, Iowa Friday to provide bottled water, food, and emotional-spiritual care.
