DES MOINES, Iowa -- The strength of the tornado that went through Greenfield--in Southwest Iowa's Adair County--this week is being upgraded.
The National Weather Service is now calling the tornado an EF4, packing peak winds of between 175 and 185 miles-per-hour.
They also say the tornado was a thousand yards wide, and covered 44 miles in about 45 minutes.
The tornado killed four people in Greenfield and injured 35 more.
A storm chaser in Adams County was killed when the tornado pulled her our of her car.
