Illinois Quad Cities Gets Grants For Safe School Routes

(Moline, IL) -- Two Illinois QCA municipalities are getting state funds to make the trip to school safer.

The Illinois Department of Transportation is granting 250-thousand dollars to the city of Moline to install traffic lights at seven schools.

Aledo will also receive a quarter-million dollar grant for new sidewalks.

The monies come from the Illinois DOT's Safe Routes to School Program.
