Johnson County Sheriff's Office Releases Name of Drowning Victim

(Coralville, IA) -- The Johnson County Sheriff's Office is identifying the man who drowned at Lake MacBride last week.

The victim is identified as 34- year-old Cesar Garcia-Pelico from Cedar Rapids. Investigators say he died after jumping into the water on Thursday, June 13th near the Coralville Reservoir. Several agencies responded to reports of Garcia-Pelico jumping into the water and found his body about an hour an a half later.

His death is still under investigation.
