A preliminary hearing is set for December 16th for the suspect in a Nebraska murder case dating back decades.

77-year-old Joseph Ambroz made an initial appearance in Saunders County Court where a judge denied bond and ordered Ambroz to remain behind bars until trial.

Ambroz is charged with first-degree murder in connection with the death of 17-year-old Mary Kay Heese in 1969.

Ambroz was picked up by U.S. Marshals in Oklahoma last week.
