(Iowa) -- A snow storm is expected to bring heavy snow to parts of Iowa this weekend.
The National Weather Service says the storm could bring 6 to 10 inches of snow to counties in southern Iowa near the Missouri border. The heaviest snowfall is expected south of Interstate 80. Communities north of I-80 are expected to see snowfall of 1 to 2 inches.
In addition to snowfall, temperatures across the state are expected to be 15 to 20 degrees below normal throughout the weekend and through most of next week.
