(Rock Island, IL) -- The family of a man fatally shot by police last month are demanding justice after the officer involved was cleared Friday.
No charges will be filed against Rock Island officer Brett Taylor who pulled over 22 year-old Jakarta Jackson on January 5th to serve an arrest warrant.
Bodycam footage of the incident shows that during the traffic stop, Jackson attempted to drive away while dragging the officer, who then shot him.
Rock Island County State's Attorney Dora Villarreal says an independent board determined that Taylor acted appropriately.
