(Des Moines, IA) -- Layoffs announcements in Iowa this month now top 900.
Corteva Agriscience in Johnston is the latest company to notify Iowa Workforce Development that they'll lay off workers. The agricultural chemical and seed company says they'll let 44 employees go May 9th.
That brings the total number of layoff announcements on IWD's WARN website to 931 since April 1st.
Corteva joins Whirlpool, Sodexo, ASM Global, Wells Fargo, and Durham School Services in announcing job cuts this month.
