(Rock Island, IL) -- New security measure plans were presented at Tuesday's Rock Island-Milan School Board meeting.
The District plans to undertake what they're calling a secured-entry redesign at Edison and Washington Middle Schools.
The move comes a day after a weapons detection system at Rock Island High School found a loaded gun in the backpack of a 17 year-old student.
The estimated cost for the upgrades is $250,000.
