Two Men Injured in Accident Involving Pella Girls Soccer Team's School Bus

(Marion, IA) -- Two men were injured in a three-vehicle accident involving a school bus carrying the Pella girls' soccer team.

An Iowa State Patrol crash report says all three vehicles were traveling westbound on Highway 163 Tuesday afternoon at 198th Avenue. A car that was rear-ended by another car overturned into the path of the bus. Two passengers in the first car were injured, including a 65-year-old male who was transported by helicopter to a Des Moines hospital. Another 24-year-old male passenger was taken by ambulance to a Pella hospital.

No injuries were reported on the school bus. An investigation into the crash is underway by the Iowa State Patrol.
