(Des Moines, IA) -- The Des Moines housing market sees positive trends in May.
The latest report from the Des Moines Area Association of Realtors saw the number of homes on the market in the Des Moines metro area jump by 20.2% to 3,994. Home sales also rose slightly in May to 1,403, an increase of 2.3%. The number of days a home spends on the market held steady compared to April at 61 days.
The average price of a house on the market in Des Moines rose slightly to $300,000. Additional information is available on the Des Moines Area Association of Realtors website.
