(Davenport, IA) -- The son of a former goaltender for the Quad City Mallards hockey team is running for political office.
Twenty-one year-old Dillon Fillion is running as a Republican for Iowa's 81st House District which comprises northwest Davenport.
The seat is currently held by Democrat Daniel Gosa.
Dillon's father Martin played with the Mallards from 1998 to 2000, and again in 2009.
