(Henry County, IL) -- The man convicted of killing a Knox County Sheriff's Deputy during a police chase three years ago will be in Henry County Court today looking to get his sentence reconsidered.
Twenty-eight year-old Daylon Richardson received a life sentence in August for the 2022 death of Deputy Kyle Weist.
Prosecutors say Richardson hit Weist with his vehicle while the deputy was laying down spike strips to stop him.
Richardson was fleeing a traffic stop in Galesburg.
