(Des Moines, IA) -- Des Moines residents can dispose of large items an excess yard waste at the final SCRUB events of the year in Des Moines on Saturday.
From 7am-2pm on Saturday, residents can take large items like furniture, tires, appliances, large electronics and things that don't fit into regular waste containers to the Metro Central Transfer Station located at 4198 Delaware Avenue. Yard waste and tree debris can be taken to the City's Compost Center, which is located at 1601 Harriet Street.
The free events are for Des Moines residents only, and proof of residence will be required at each event. More information on SCRUB events is available on the City of Des Moines website.
