Ames, IA -- Iowa State University Men's Basketball Coach TJ Otzelberger is getting a 10-year contract extension.
ISU Athletics Director Jamie Pollard says Otzelberger's new deal runs through 2036 and will pay him $6 million a year.
"I'm thankful for the support of our President, Dr. Cook and our Athletics Director, Jamie Pollard," Otzelberger said. "We are humbled and grateful to continue leading a program that means so much to us. Iowa State is home for my family, and we are excited to be part of the community for years to come."
Otzelberger's been the Cyclones head coach since 2021. In that time he's taken the team to five-straight NCAA Men's Basketball Tournaments including three Sweet 16 appearances.
ISU finished the 2025-2026 season with a 29-8 record--the second most wins in school history.
