No excuse for what happened in Montana

Assaulting a reporter is attacking the Constitution: A candidate for the US House of Representatives physically attacked a newspaper reporter for asking questions. When you go after a reporter, you (symbolically) go after the First Amendment. And there is no room for that in our Constitutional order. The news media ought to resist the temptation to overstate what happened...but the candidate ought to be instantly disqualified in the minds of the voters.
