Alexa can't really call 911

A New Mexico sheriff's office says an Alexa device called 9-1-1 for a woman in need. It would be neat if it had, but Amazon says that's not how Alexa works. Regardless, it's not much to ask that artificial intelligence tools like Alexa, Cortana, Siri, and Google Assistant should be programmed to take notice of situations, searches, and queries that might indicate that the user is at risk of an imminent health problem (mental or physical) or is in some form of danger. That's just a smart way to put technology in service of human needs.
