Welcome the chance to purge

It's hard to imagine that any of the serial harassers and abusers in the news today has ever looked at any woman as his own equal. That's a pathology, and I hope that parents today are especially alert to it so it doesn't last another generation. If better parenting can turn a marginal bystander into someone who helps put a stop to it, then the networks that protect and promote bad behavior get interrupted. Somewhere there's a middle manager who looked the other way and promoted Matt Lauer against his better judgment. It's people like that middle manager you really want to change.

Meanwhile, just after the news that a former National Security Advisor to the President of the United States had confessed to lying to the FBI, President Trump turned to Twitter once again to rant as though the investigations around him are a massive inconvenience to him. What the President fails to realize is that he should welcome the chance to have the bad apples culled from the bunch, through a rigorous investigation of any wrongdoing around his campaign and his administration. His incessant complaining only makes it look as though he wants to protect the crooked rather than purge them. If he keeps this up, he'll go down in history right next to Warren Harding.
