Ed Wilson -- who by the way is celebrating his 30th anniversary at WHO TV-13 -- came in to give us a really thorough look at what Hurricane Florence is about to do to the Carolina coast. It's a huge storm, but the real threat may not be so much in the winds (which is how hurricane categories are set), but in the incredible amount of rain it could drop on ground that can't really handle it. Ed says some places could end up with four times as much rain as what fell on us here in Central Iowa back on June 30th and July 1st. If 9" or 10" was enough to cause catastrophic flash flooding here, imagine what 40" could do.
Listen to our complete conversation -- as always, Ed is a trustworthy and knowledgeable source!
