April showers bring May flowers

April showers bring May flowers, hopefully that is the case with our SNOW!

This week, our special guest is Nicole Jonas from Red Granite Farm. She enjoyed some crocus blossoms last week!

We are talking bright and colorful perennials that you can expect to see at the Red Granite Garden Center. Here are some of Nicole's favorites:

Epimedium x rubrum- an underused shade plant with delicate flowers

Euphorbia 'Bonfire'- beautiful, bright yellow flowers

Sedum 'Firecracker'- bright pink flowers, pinkish foliage- groundcover type

Nicole also focuses on interesting succulents for container gardens. You can find different colors, shapes and textures; sometimes that diversity helps to make your containers more interesting!

Here's one that you probably have seen- String of Bananas!

Red Granite Farm is located at 2013 130th St. Boone, Iowa 50036- near Story City.
