Late Summer Plantings

After our rains week, we're finding that the soil is in perfect shape for some late Summer/ early Fall plantings.

These plants can all be planted successfully, from now until mid September (which is coming up fast!) :

*Overseed and seed new lawns

*Plant perennials and grasses

*Plant trees and shrubs (evergreens can be planted until mid September, after that some loss can occur. Deciduous trees and shrubs can be planted from now until November.)

As always, water your new plantings until the ground freezes.

Sedums are especially showy in the landscapes right now. One of Jessica's favorites is Sedum 'Razzleberry'. Here is more information on this beautiful, low growing sedum. It really is stunning!
