Halloween is fast approaching!
Whether you are interested in painting, carving or decorating containers with a few pumpkins, here are some tips to pick out the perfect pumpkin:
- Choose a pumpkin by the stem, but never carry it by the stem
-Select a pumpkin with a (relatively) flat bottom so that is stands upright after its been painted or carved
-Avoid pumpkins with holes, soft spots, or ones that are discolored. These issues may shorten your shelf life.
-Pumpkins that are lighter orange are typically easier to carve in comparison to rich orange hued ones.
-Pumpkins look great in containers as an interesting accent!
The Fall foliage has been spectacular this week! We've been enjoying the golds and oranges, especially!
