Yesterday, we started decorating for the upcoming Holidays. In stores, you'll probably find poinsettias and Christmas cactus (both came home with me yesterday), but you might also find kalanchoe, rosemary trees, cedars, Norfolk Island Pines, and other 'living' decorated Christmas trees.
I had this little old greenhouse sitting in the garage, year after year. I decided to incorporate it into some Holiday decor. After a little cleaning, I was on the search for some small poinsettias. After weeks of searching, I finally had some luck! (Normally I see these little poinsettias when I'm not really needing or wanting them- this year they were the most basic elusive thing! )
This week on the program, we've talked about gifts for the gardener.
Here are some of our favorites:
*New tools (pruners, watering cans, pottery) - new and vintage! For vintage, Melissa likes to visit Etsy.com. We especially like the vintage copper watering cans- it's worth a look!
*Gardening Gloves - they always come in handy and are a great stocking stuffer!
*Monthly gardening subscription clubs, such as Crate Joy. Here you can find monthly boxes of whatever you are interested in- vegetables, flowers, edible flowers, succulents, and more!
*Gardening Books- available in a wide range of gardening topics for the new or experienced.
*When in doubt, gift certificates to your favorite garden center are a great idea!
