I've made no secret of my love of the downtown Des Moines Farmers' Market. If it is Saturday, and I am not on the road, I will be there.
Some stats about this year's market from WHO-TV:
There are 47 new vendors at the market this year.
288 vendors total are registered for the new season.
The vendors hail from 50 different counties in Iowa.
And there is a shuttle this year: The D-Line shuttle will run from 7 a.m. until 5 o’clock in the afternoon every Saturday through the farmers' market. The free shuttle circles the downtown area - so you can park at one of over 15 lots downtown and wait for the shuttle to roll up.
More info on the market here. See ya there!
