Free Stays For Hurricane Dorian Evacuees Available Through Airbnb

As I've said on the air, I've got family members in Florida and North Carolina awaiting word on the path and intensity of Hurricane Dorian. Boo and I were just looking over AirBnb's "Open Homes Program" in case our family members need to hit the road.

Airbnb started the program back in 2012 following Hurricane Sandy. The program is now offering free housing for Hurricane Dorian evacuees and disaster relief workers.

More than 800 Airbnb hosts are opening their doors in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Alabama and the program is available through September 16th.

Hosts volunteer to list their properties and the number of available listings is expected to increase as Dorian makes its way to the U.S. and most of them are out of the hurricane’s projected path.

You can check available listings here.
