Dog Eating Ice Cream

Residents of Des Moines' east side know of Granny's Sweet Freeze Shoppe. Every summer day, you can expect a crowd gathered at this legendary location. The small little building is famously painted pink and white and has picnic tables set around it's exterior. It's common to see locals striking up conversations with kids and dogs in tow. Cyclists also like to swing by because of the building's proximity to a popular bike path.
