You've been hearing me talk about Business Horizons for quite some time now. iHeart Media and WHO Radio were proud sponsors and the students are amazing.
I've been talking about Business Horizons for quite some time and, as always, the experience was incredible! These students encourage me every year as I look at our future workforce.
This year was my second year volunteering with the media track, or "Industry M" as they are called. The entire event is a week-long business competition where multiple teams compete to make a startup company, invent a fictitious product, market the product, make an infomercial and finally, pitch to investors.
My team was responsible for covering the entire event, just like a media entity should. You can read their handiwork on their Business Horizons Media news site.
The entire event is organized by the Association of Business and Industry and is happens on an annual basis. Students come from all over Iowa to learn and collaborate.
