The Rio Olympic Games were held last Summer. The Medals were hailed as a masterpiece of green sustainable achievement... but there's a problem!

So far more than 150 have been returned because they are rusting and decaying. And the winning athletes no longer allow people to touch them for fear that the process will be speeded up!

 According to Heat Street, athletes report that the items – which likely symbolize the greatest achievement of their lives – have started to flake, rust and develop small black spots. Environmental advocates were thrilled with the original medals for their green credentials.
