Our good friends at the Des Moines Register think those crazy Republicans should stop trying to pass a Heartbeat Bill in Iowa - you know, the bill that would ban killing babies once a heartbeat has been detected.
Senate Study Bill 3143 would, if ultimately signed by the Governor, make Iowa one of the toughest States in the nation to get an abortion.
Interestingly, the end of the Register Editorial talks about all the things that a pre-birth baby is not entitled to. It fails to mention that if you kill a pregnant woman, you will be charged with two murders.
In my opinion, the GOP doesn't have the spine to see this through in an election year, but should it?
