Former Cedar Rapids Mayor Ron Corbett was removed from the Gubernatorial ballot yesterday after he fell eight signatures short of the required 4,005.
A State panel made up of Attorney General Tom Miller, Secretary of State Paul Pate and State Auditor Mary Mosiman voted 2-1 (Miller was the NO) to remove Corbett.
The result is that Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds will not now face a primary in June.
So did this panel make the right call?
