China slapped a 25% tariff on US Pork, fruit and other products over the weekend and other things could be next as the trade war ramps up.
Negotiators are still talking and obviously Ambassador Terry Branstad has a huge role to play here.
The back and forth started when President Trump called time on Beijing being in violation of it's free-trade commitments.
The U.S. tariff hike has "has seriously damaged our interests," said a Chinese Finance Ministry statement.
"Our country advocates and supports the multilateral trading system. The tariff increase is a proper measure adopted by our country using World Trade Organization rules to protect our interests," the statement added.
So should Iowa be worried?
