He's a big anti-Trump attorney and a prominent figure in the #MeToo movement, but now New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman had to announce his resignation last night over claims in the New Yorker that he was physically abusive to four women that he was in relationships with.

He has denied the accusations.

Two of Schneiderman's accusers, Michelle Manning Barish and Tanya Selvaratnam, spoke to The New Yorker on the record to document claims that Schneiderman nonconsensually hit and choked them. He was also accused of taking prescription drugs belonging to one of the women.

The accusers also said he was very drunk five out of seven nights a week. He "would almost always drink two bottles of wine in a night, then bring a bottle of Scotch into the bedroom. He would get absolutely plastered five nights out of seven," said Manning Barish.

Is anyone shocked that this top Democrat finds himself in this position?
