He's done it again! Rep. Al Green (D-Texas) has said that if we the people give Democrats control of the House in November, they will go ahead and impeach President Trump.
He didn't say on what grounds.
The Congressman has been one of the loudest voices in the impeachment movement. Meanwhile the Minority Leader, Nancy Pelosi, has made it clear that she doesn't think this impeachment talk helps the Democrats' chances of victory.
Asked on CSPAN if he'd heard from her, Green said "Well, I don’t think you have to ask me what I’ve heard. If you have read publications, it is intuitively obvious to perhaps even the most casual observer that she and I are in different places on this. I respect her position.”
So does it help or hurt Democrats to continue talk of impeachment?
