WATCH! So many at the funeral of Navy Veteran they didn't know. Thank you!

This morning at Iowa Veterans' Cemetery John Roderick Hay was laid to rest. I found out about this just two days ago. Despite a two year search (he died in July of 2016) no family or friends could be found and he could have gone on his final journey with no military honors and no one there.

That was before YOU stood up AGAIN!

I counted around 120 people this morning. Not a single one knew John Roderick Hay, but all understood the importance of giving him the honor he deserved.

THANK YOU again for standing up.

John Hay was a Petty Officer 2nd class. He served in the United States Navy for six and a half years starting in 1964. He served on both the Aircraft Carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt and the Missile Submarine USS Henry Clay.

RIP hero.
