Why is CNN defending a story that their own source says is a lie? Poll...

Things don't really get more simple than this. There was a meeting at Trump Tower before the election which the President's eldest son Don Jr attended along with a RUSSIAN and some other people!

Don Jr says nothing of any consequence happened and most importantly for this story, that the President didn't know about the meeting in advance. The President has repeatedly said he knew nothing about the meeting in advance.

So when the President's former lawyer, Michael Cohen, allowed HIS lawyer, Lanny Davis to tell CNN that the President DID know in advance, well that was a lie.

Lanny Davis quickly made public that he was the source for the CNN story and that it was in fact NOT TRUE.

Since then and despite widespread criticism, CNN has stuck to its story culminating in a public defense of Carl Bernstein (of Woodward and Bernstein Watergate fame) last night on Twitter.

So why is CNN standing by a story the whole world seems to agree is a lie?
