If Mexico admits migrant caravan, should the US close our southern border?

The first few hundred members of the so-called Migrant Caravan from Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador have arrived at the Guatemala-Mexico border.

Authorities have said if they have proper travel documents, they will be admitted (they don't); if they claim refugee status, it will be investigated and if they don't cross in a legitimate manner, there will be consequences.

For our part, the President has warned that aid will be cut off and our military will be sent to the border.

This is CLEARLY a political move designed to make things tough for the President ahead of the midterms. There is video of people literally being paid to be a part of the growing group.

BUT a simple solution would be to shut our border, so should we?
