TSA phasing out pointy-eared dogs because they're scary... REALLY! READ!!

The TSA is making a conscious effort to use floppy eared dogs going forward because pointy eared ones are just too darn scary!!

"We’ve made a conscious effort in TSA ... to use floppy ear dogs," TSA Administrator David Pekoske said in an interview with the Washington Examiner during a recent tour of operations at Washington Dulles International Airport northern Virginia.

"We find the passenger acceptance of floppy ear dogs is just better. It presents just a little bit less of a concern," Pekoske said. "Doesn’t scare children."

No comment from potential terrorists has so far been received over their K9 ear preference, but Mr Spock is reported as saying this is a very illogical move. I see his point... get it?

TSA uses two types of pointy-ear dogs - German Shepherds and Belgian Malinois and five types of floppy ear dogs - Labs, German Short-haired Pointers, Wirehaired Pointers, Vizslas, and Golden Retrievers. The pointy eared ones are going to phased out.
