Newly minted US House Rep Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) told us yesterday that global warming 'is our World War II', but she didn't stop there. She also said the planet would be gone - if we didn't do something about it - in the next 12 years!
Speaking at an MLK event, she said: “Millennials and people, you know, Gen Z and all these folks that will come after us are looking up and we’re like: ‘The world is gonna end in 12 years if we don’t address climate change and your biggest issue is how are we gonna pay for it?'"
I'm not sure if I love 'Millennials and people" more than the "we're all gonna die in 12 years' part, but the bottom line here is now no one is surprised by her huge gaffes anymore.
